DeNicola Foundation to support the 1st Black Owned Cancer Care Center

Philadelphia, PA - Philadelphia’s Cancer Who? is reopening their 3400 Richmond St. Cancer Care Center in Philadelphia after dealing with COVID closures and mandates. The Center was founded in 2013 by Al & Marjani Harris after Cancer touched their family. The organization provides a range of free services including companionship during treatments, support groups, homework studies for children, transportation, and social events. A highlight is when the patient “rings the Centers bell” marking the end of treatments.

The DeNicola family interest was piqued by members of their own family who have experienced the physical and emotional pain that goes along with a Cancer diagnosis. “My family is fortunate to have the access to healthcare and a large familiar support network, but many do not”, stated DeNicola Family Foundation Executive Director Morgan DeNicola.

“I love the fact that Cancer Who? stays connected both in person and digitally. No one ever feels alone,” adds Natalie Scarantino Sadler, DeNicola Family Foundation Program Manager.
