Philadelphia, PA - Cosmo Cares donated the funds for a New Calm Room to be built and furnished at Philadelphia's Martin Luther King HS. In keeping with Dr Kings theme of providing service the Calm Room will be a place where students and staff can go to relax in a non-stressful environment. Designed specifically for the MLK HS Special Education program the room is equipped with comfortable seating, sensory tools, visually calming lighting, massage chair, puzzles, magazine and soothing music.

The donation was made in the name of Irwin Pasker a 25 year teacher and advisor who dedicated his life to the MLK students. On hand for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony where his Daughter (Stephanie) and Son (Josh).

The Philadelphia School District was represented by Asst Superintendent Noah Tennant,  MLK Principal Keisha Wilkins and Special Ed. Dept Director Aisha Eubanks all offered appreciation on behalf of the students in attendance.

CC Program Manager, Natalie Scarantino Sadler expressed her appreciation for everyone's perseverance throughout the year long process due to COVID-19.
