Minneapolis; January 29, 2018: As the granddaughter of the former Philadelphia Eagles owner and co-founder of the Ronald McDonald House Leonard Tose, Marnie Schneider was raised with a dedication to family, charity, and sports. Tose helped found the Ronald McDonald House in 1974 when Eagles player Fred Hill’s daughter was diagnosed with leukemia, prompting the team to raise money for the hospital and later for a house where children and families could find rest and refuge from the hospital. Now, Schneider is giving back to these communities she calls family through her love letter to football cities, sports fans, and first responders: her Football Freddie and Fumble the Dog series. On Feb. 2, Marnie will be sharing her first book in the series at a luncheon for children, patients, and families at the Ronald McDonald House – Oak Street in Minneapolis.
