Philadelphia, PA - Due to increasing demands at the Ronald McDonald House on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia there has been rapid consumption of food and supplies for the families and residents. The Cosmo Cares team responded by providing food, snacks, pantry items and cleaning supplies relieving an acute shortage.
The Ronald McDonald House of the Philadelphia Region provide temporary lodging, transportation, meals, and social services to families who travel to Philadelphia for pediatric care at either Children’s Hospital (CHOP) or at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
The Ronald McDonald House on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia accommodates 127 families and this year they have been at full capacity every night. Their second House opened in 2008 at the corner of Front Street and Erie Avenue in Philadelphia, accommodates 20 families.
“The team at Cosmo Cares wanted to make sure the families were well nourished and had some yummy treats after their long days at the hospital” stated Natalie Scarantino Sadler, Program Manager at Cosmo Cares.
