Fort Washington, PA -  Cosmo Cares partnered with Marnie Schneider for our Annual Ronald McDonald House Superbowl Event. The annually scheduled event is held the Friday before the Superbowl. During this pandemic we could not be there in person, so we zoomed a Virtual Tailgate Party with the Ronald McDonald Tampa Bay House and Kansas City House (Superbowl opponents). Everyone enjoyed a virtual tour of the houses, a hearty lunch provided by Cosmo Cares, messages from special guests including Dick Vermeil and Vince Papale and a book reading from children’s author, Marnie Schneider. Cosmo Cares donated the books to all attendees at the reading. Everyone at both houses were celebrating the upcoming Super Bowl LV.

Marnie Schneider is the granddaughter of Leonard Tose, former owner of the Philadelphia Eagles and one of the co-founders of the first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. Marnie wrote a series of children’s book called Football Freddie & Fumble the Dog for each NFL football city.

Cosmo Cares is a longtime supporter of the Ronald McDonald House nationally. This year’s two city event also was a celebration of Cosmo Care’s Steinberg Sports & Entertainment representation of the Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones II.

Fort Washington, PA - The Cosmo Cares team donated duffle bags to the Montgomery County Youth Center. The Duffel Bags all included blankets, pillows, towels, hygiene products, coloring books, games and positive teen books in each of them. When children enter the foster care system they are often given a trash bag to carry their belongings. The Cosmo Cares team wanted to eliminate trash bags and give the kids something to call their own.

The Montgomery County Youth Center is a 48-bed coed residential facility where 10 -18 year old’s reside. The primary objective of the Youth Center is to provide physical and emotional well-being for their residents. It’s a safe and secure environment. Philadelphia, PA - The Cosmo Cares team celebrated Thanksgiving early by donating 45 Thanksgiving dinners to families in need this Holiday season. The beneficiary were the St. Martin de Porres Catholic School students from Pre-Kindergarten to 8thGrade. Mrs. Kelly Lanza, School Principal was instrumental in arranging the distribution of the Holiday dinners that included: turkey, gravy, stuffing, green beans, corn and cranberry sauce. Purchased from the Flourtown Acme. The Acme provided a contribution in the form of a discount.

The school is located in one of the most economically depressed and crime-ridden areas of North Philadelphia, St. Martin de Porres School has served poor and minority families for over 100 years under the guidance of the Sisters of St. Joseph. Ninety-nine percent of the School’s 500 students are African American, and many come from families living below the poverty line.
